Desires are in themselves a tool, a tool to cause you to take action towards achieving a specific result. Sometimes desires can take you down a destructive path, and other times they can help you walk in your God-given destiny. To be loved is a great desire for most, to not be alone is another… many people cling to relationships that aren’t healthy for their desire to be in a relationship. I’ve recently ended a relationship I had that was unhealthy, a girl who I was dating was hurt in the past during her childhood and brought that hurt into our relationship. She would over-react to things that were very normal, she would blow up at things that were small, and in a recent video I watched with John C Maxwell, a video course entitled, “How to Win With People” he mentioned that hurt people tend to hurt people and are easily prone to getting hurt. I personally, with my amazing childhood and adolescents, would like to be with someone who has a bigger capacity to give love rather than be the weaker person in the relationship – again, I’d like to be with someone I admire and look up to. I once had a website called Quality Questions; on that website I had all sorts of forms that I build with FormThis.com – a company that mysteriously disappeared. It was a disaster, and along with that, a ton of my website information disappeared when I was using Hosting24.com – FreeVacationsHawaii, a website I worked on for a long time was also hacked and deleted along with a bunch of Drupal sites I had for the He Reigns Christian Network. I never fully recovered from that, and it broke my nerve for website creation as I was getting very good at it. I’m tearing up thinking about the loss I’ve had to endure from the projects I’ve worked on. I’m going to make the most of the time I have left and rebuild what I started, my teams I’m building are going to be incredible, and I’ll be using my desire, and my pain to rebuild something even better. That’s the mind-set that’s important to use for God’s glory. Aside from that type of mind-set being a set-back there, I want to encourage you to see that there’s a way to recover, there’s a way to rebuild, and there’s a way to get new relationships! USE YOUR DESIRE TO GROW AND GET BETTER! There IS a better life, the best IS yet to come, forget the NAYSAYERS, BELIEVE THE BEST, God is loving, God is good! I’ll be going to Hillsong, I’ll be stopping by the Amen Clinics to get my brain working in a top notch order, I won’t give up, I’ll keep mind-mapping my desires, I’ll use the One Page Miracle to find the right people in my life, I’ll use the Ideal Mate exercise that Tony Robbins has to find my ideal girl, I know what I want and what I don’t want. I will succeed in Jesus Name.
