Six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world, so that a chain of “a friend of a friend” statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps. That means that you’re only a few introductions away from the producer that can change your life overnight, the girl or guy of your dreams, the investor that you need to take your music to the next level, your new fan, your stylist, your manager, and whoever else you can imagine. One exercise I completed many years ago that has had a profound impact in my life is writing down all of my ideal relationships that I would like to have in my life and how I would like that relationship to go – from my personal trainer, to what role my manager would play and what contracts would be in place, the artists that I would befriend and how our friendship would look like, all the way down to my dentist and how often I would like to go in. Those ideal relationships ARE out there. But how do you manage your social circle, use hard scientific data, and build the network of your dreams? One way I’ve been able to truly build my network effectively and managing everyone that I meet on a daily basis, making the most of those interactions, has been through the use of Zoho CRM. I was originally interviewed by a Zoho Reporter for being a successful entrepreneur, about four years ago, and using their system to maintain my success. They have an option to fully customize their user interface, they have an app that works on your android or iPhone, they allow you to tag people by industry, and allow for the writing of notes under each contact. Following up with people you meet and asking them about their contacts they may have who can connect you with the person they want, and doing the same with those people, will allow you to apply the law of 6 degrees of separation in your life to achieve the success that you’re seeking after. Take the principles of the video below to heart, and sign up for Zoho CRM today.
